Privacy Policy

UNICEF, USAID, Stepping Stones International, and Botswana-Baylor COE built Youth Spot as a free application. This page is used to inform visitors on our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when using this application. If you use our service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.

Information Collection

During account registration, the user will be asked to provide the application with certain personal identity information such as name, gender, and phone number. Youth Spot uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Link to the privacy policy of third-party service providers used by the app are found below:

The application also allows its users to create alarms, appointments, set goals, take notes, track moods, and look up articles. This information the user chooses to put in the app stays local to the device and may be deleted at any time. Youth Spot only collects data on the mood tracking that the user inputs into the application. This is done to provide the user with psychosocial support when it is needed. Youth Spot will not collect any other data stored on the device such as medication alarms, goal setting, journal entries, and chat histories.

Uses of Information

The information app users choose to put into the app is for their use only. Youth Spot does not collect any information except for the mood tracking section of the application.

Information Sharing

Only the mood tracking information collected by Youth Spot may be shared with social workers at Stepping Stones International or Botswana-Baylor COE.

Log Data

In a case of an error in the Youth Spot app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the application, and the time and date.

However, the app may use third-party codes and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device.
